Dr. Lena Tholen

Director Cell Line Development and Bioprocess Development

FyoniBio

Dr. Lena Tholen holds a Diploma in Biotechnology from the Technical University of Berlin (2013) and gained research experience at KTH, focusing on high cell density perfusion processes with CHO cells. She earned a PhD (2014-2017) for her work on CHO cell-based cell-free systems in collaboration with Fraunhofer IZ-BB. Since 2019, she has worked as a scientist in Cell Line and Upstream Process Development at Glycotope GmbH. In 2022, she joined FyoniBio, a CDRO spin-off from Glycotope, where she now leads the Cell Line and Bioprocess Group.
