As Field Project Manager at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, Peter Braun is responsible for the conceptual design and planning of complex robotic systems. This job at the interface between science and technology involves “translating” the requirements of scientists from various life science disciplines into robotic systems. He received his PhD in molecular biology from the MPI for Infection Biology and Humboldt University Berlin and subsequently worked in high throughput/high content screening. As Head of Screening he was responsible for various robotic systems as well as for the planning and execution of automated high throughput screens with pathogens up to biosafety level 3
