Kayla completed her B.S. at University of Tennessee Knoxville in Microbiology and attended Georgia State University for MS and PhD degrees in Applied and Environmental Microbiology. She did her postdoctoral work in Cell Line Engineering at Elanco before joining AGC Biologics in 2021. She is currently based in Bothell, WA as the AGC Biologics R&D Bioprocess Principal Scientist in Cell Line Development focusing on platform optimization.
